Danza Mystique participates in the Drake Relays Parade held in Des Moines, Iowa on April 20, 2008.

In the rain and cold, Danza Mystique gave their all, and enjoyed participating in the 2008 St. Patrick's Day Parade through downtown Des Moines, Iowa.

On November 15, 2007 the Bellydance Superstars came to Iowa. We arranged two workshops - "The Art of the Drum Solo" with Issam Houshan and Sonia, and a "Master Drum Workshop" with Issam. We also traveled to the spot where it all began back in 2003...Hairy Mary's bar near Drake University. It was a great time, and I can't wait till they return!

We were told telescopes would be set up on top of the parking ramp at midnight, but they never showed up, so I broke out a drum and the girls danced :-) Then security showed up and chased us away!
